Hilda Orimba, the national chairperson of the Widows and Welfare Society of Kenya, has accused a city lawyer of threatening her life following a burial dispute over her sister's estate.

Orimba, 64, has headed the widow's charity since 1993. She claims that her sister, Margaret Kochola Atieno, had disowned the lawyer, Anyanga Ogutu, before her death. Orimba alleges that Ogutu subjected her sister to cruel mistreatment and should not be allowed to bury her after her demise.

According to court documents, Margaret was admitted to Metropolitan Hospital in Buru Buru for several weeks before being transferred to Texas Hospitals, where she later succumbed to acute diabetes and high blood pressure, accumulating a bill of over Sh400,000.
