A 28-year-old driver, Hillary Muriithi, has been charged with allegedly exposing his genitals to primary schoolgirls in Embu. He was released on a Sh20,000 bond on Wednesday.

According to the court, Muriithi committed the offense on April 28 in Majengo estate, along Majengo street. It is alleged that he parked his car outside County Primary School, opened a door, and exposed his private parts whenever a girl passed near him. The court also heard that he beckoned the girls to look at his genitals.

Residents who confronted Muriithi after the pupils reported him to their parents said they found him in the act. Muriithi was then taken to Embu police station. In court, he denied the charges before Embu senior resident magistrate Paul Biwott.

Magistrate Biwott requested statements and other documents to be used against Muriithi. The case is scheduled to be heard on May 25.

The recovered account cited reporting by The Star.
