A US-based internet company, Google, is reportedly in discussions to back Kenya’s Lake Turkana Wind Power Project. This wind farm is expected to be the largest in Africa and will provide approximately 20 percent of the country’s total electricity output.

The project, valued at $700 million (KSh 68 billion), will be constructed on 40,000 acres of land.
