Controversial socialite Vera Sidika recently shared her painting skills with her fans on social media. According to Vera, she began painting at a young age and further developed her skills at university.
In a post on social media, Vera said:
Final work of my landscape painting. I know y'all never knew I could paint. Well, been doing this since I first held a pencil in kindergarten.
Vera also mentioned that her parents encouraged her to attend an art school in high school, specifically Star of the Sea in Mombasa, which had a strong program in Art & Design. She added that she won art trophies for the school and pursued design or an art course in university because it was where her heart belonged.
I eat, breathe, sleep and wake up to Art (any form of art, be it music, cooking, dancing, you name it!). There are artists out there and most times we fail to appreciate them. People should give them a chance and platform to express themselves in the society.
Vera emphasized the importance of appreciating each other's gifts and talents, stating that being an artist allows one to be their own boss and provide for themselves and their family without needing employment.
