Murimi wa Kahalf, the artist behind the song Ino ni Momo, died after seeking help from witchdoctors in Meru, according to his mother.

She recalled that Murimi had been begging her to take him to Meru to see some witchdoctors because he believed they could help him. After months of begging, she finally agreed and took him to Meru.

In Meru, they met a witchdoctor who demanded Sh. 10,000 to reverse a spell that had allegedly been cast against Murimi. They paid the money, and the witchdoctor gave Murimi some pieces of meat to eat. Shortly after, Murimi's stomach became severely bloated.

Murimi's mother decided to take him to Nairobi for specialized treatment. During their journey, Murimi complained of severe pain and at one point asked his mother to pierce his stomach with a knife to relieve the pain.

Upon arriving in Nairobi, Murimi's mother rushed him to St. Francis Hospital in Kasarani, where he asked for a glass of water. According to his mother, Murimi died shortly after drinking the water.
