Tanzanian gospel artist Christina Shusho emphasized the importance of self-belief for women to earn respect in their communities.
In an interview with TBC1, Shusho discussed the numerous challenges women face, which often require great patience and endurance, particularly for the sake of their families.
Shusho encouraged women to elevate their standards to receive the respect they deserve, clarifying that being submissive does not imply acceptance of mistreatment. According to her, women will gain respect when they start by respecting themselves.
Shusho concluded by highlighting the significance of mothers and, by extension, all females. She stated,
Mama ni mtu mzuri sana, mama ajitambue na awe tayari kwa nafasi atakayokuwa nayo na aifanye kwa uaminifu,aibu ndogondogo hizi lazima tuwe tunaziondoa kwa upande wa wanawake tufute.
