A group of travellers bound for village festivities in western Kenya spent Christmas at Ntulele Police Station. This followed the impounding of their bus by National Highways and Transport Authority officials.
Stranded far from home, the passengers saw their holiday plans disrupted. With no alternative, they waited at the police station for a resolution, seeking assistance from both the police and transport authorities.
Many of the dejected travellers were seen reading old newspapers, while children clung to their mothers, seemingly unaware of the difficulties faced by the adults.
