George Wainaina, the Chief of Staff at City Hall, has been linked to an existing hit squad in Nairobi suspected of executing four land dealers.
A police probe team has been launched to investigate the squad, which is known for killing its targets in a gangland style. The latest incident involved the murder of land dealer Paul Ngugi Kariuki, who was shot with 15 bullets along Forest Road in Nairobi on Wednesday night.
Kariuki was reportedly involved in a land dispute over a Kshs 95 million plot in Kileleshwa with associates of Nairobi Governor Evans Kidero.
