A fourth-year student at Egerton University in Njoro was stabbed to death by her boyfriend on Friday night, following a quarrel in Njokerio market near the university's main campus.

The deceased, who had a three-month-old son with the suspect, was fatally injured in their living room. The suspect, identified as Hilary Musisi, used to work within the market.

Incident and Aftermath

A neighbor, who spoke to Nairobi News, reported that the couple began quarreling when the man returned home around 8 pm. The argument turned physical, resulting in the fatal stabbing.

After the incident, the suspect locked himself inside the house, but a crowd that had gathered outside broke down the door and dragged him out, stoning him before police intervened.

The suspect, Hilary Musisi, was rushed to Nakuru Hospital but was pronounced dead on arrival.

Response and Consequences

James Kibaya, a student at the university and a neighbor of the deceased couple, stated that the two frequently fought during the night. The couple's three-month-old boy is currently being cared for by a neighbor, who is awaiting the arrival of the next of kin.

The police took the two bodies to Egerton University mortuary.
