Comedian Daniel Ndambuki, also known as Churchill, is set to leave Classic 105, a station he has served for over 10 years.
According to reports, Churchill has made up his mind to quit, although the news has not yet been communicated to the management. There is speculation that his co-host, Maina Kageni, might also consider leaving, given his past intentions to resign in 2014.
Churchill plans to focus on his private businesses, including the launch of his own TV station in 2016. As part of this transition, he is expected to end his Churchill Show programme on NTV and relocate it to his new station. Additionally, he intends to start his own radio station in 2016.
With a seven-digit salary at Classic 105, Churchill's departure is significant. His new TV station is anticipated to be a strong competitor in the Kenyan market, given his substantial following.
