Laura Oyier stated in an interview with Larry Madowo that Caroline Mutoko gave her a cheque for a quarter of a million and offered her a job at one of the radio stations owned by Radio Africa.

This came after Laura Oyier was taken to court for failing to pay a bill amounting to almost Kshs. 300,000 at the Intercontinental Hotel.

Laura Oyier also claimed she was not broke and had the means to pay the bill, suggesting the situation may have been misinterpreted.

According to Laura Oyier, the assistance from Caroline Mutoko could potentially launch her career, possibly making her the next big voice on radio.

Circumstances Leading to the Assistance

The sequence of events, as described, involved checking into a hotel, accumulating a significant bill, appearing in court, giving interviews, and eventually receiving a job offer.

  • Accumulating a notable bill at a hotel led to a court appearance.
  • Appearing in court, where media attention was garnered, particularly if one presents themselves well.
  • Securing an interview with any willing platform.
  • Continuing to give interviews to maintain visibility.
  • Potentially landing a job as a result of the increased exposure.
