A soldier who dropped his sword during the Jamhuri day celebrations has been fired, according to a report by Kahawa Tungu.
Col. Edward Banda dropped his sword while requesting permission from President Uhuru Kenyatta to lead his guard out of the Nyayo stadium. This incident embarrassed both the president and other dignitaries present at the event.
