A half-eaten shark washed ashore at a beach in Florida, US, leaving wildlife experts and beach safety officials unsure about what ate it.
According to a spokeswoman for the New Smyrna beach, Tammy Morris, the incident was a rare occurrence, and the half-eaten fish was identified as either a spinner or blacktip shark.
Beach officials believe that the shark must have been eaten by a much larger fish, but they could not identify the type. Some speculate that the mysterious fish could have been a great white shark, nicknamed Katharine, which is a 14-foot shark that has been tracked by marine life conservation experts.
Katharine was last seen off the coast of Florida in January and has gained a huge following online. However, experts are still unsure about what actually ate the shark.
