On July 23, 2019, a remarkable turn of events unfolded for Kelvin Ochieng, a jobless First-Class graduate from University of Nairobi, whose plight was highlighted by Citizen TV.
After years of struggling to find employment, Mr. Ochieng received a total of 14 job offers from top companies and State corporations.
The offers include positions at the Kenya Forest Service, Nairobi County Government, Naivas Supermarket, Vivo Energy, The Kenya Private Sector Alliance (Kepsa), and Centum, among others.
Mr. Ochieng is now faced with the daunting task of choosing where to work, a stark contrast to his years of tarmacking.
Speaking in an interview, Mr. Ochieng revealed that he had resorted to street life after failing to find employment and had even contemplated suicide at some point.
