Crime has been increasing in Nairobi's Eastlands area, partly due to the presence of gangs consisting of teenagers. One such group, known as the Mauki family, comprises class 8 and form four drop-outs and appears to have started recruiting young girls.

A woman identified as Slim Toto, allegedly a member of this group, posted photos on social media showing off an AK-47, bullets, and money following a recent theft. The images suggest she is a young woman involved in criminal activities.

The display of illicitly obtained goods and weapons on social media raises concerns about the growing involvement of youth in crime and the ease with which they seem to be operating.

The recovered account cited reporting by E! News.
