President Uhuru Kenyatta has arrived in Mogadishu, Somalia, to attend the inauguration of new Somali President Mohamed Abdullahi Mohamed, also known as Farmajo.
State House Spokesperson Manoah Esipisu announced the President's arrival via Twitter.

Mogadishu is currently under a security lockdown, with all major roads and streets closed, and commercial flights canceled ahead of the inauguration ceremony.
The ceremony will take place in the highly secured airport zone due to threats from the Al-Qaeda-linked Shabaab group, which has vowed to wage a "vicious war" against the new government.
According to AFP, the lockdown has resulted in restricted movement, with only government officials' vehicles allowed to move. Schools and businesses have also been closed as a precautionary measure.
Somalia has faced significant challenges, including decades of civil war and violent anarchy, following the collapse of Siad Barre's military regime in 1991. Recently, a car bomb attack at a busy market killed 39 people, highlighting the ongoing security concerns.
