Nana Gichuru’s death in a road accident was so traumatic that police officers who retrieved her remains were left shaken and tearful.
Before her death, Gichuru had posted a message on social media, saying "Life’s journey is not to arrive at the grave safely in a well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, totally worn out, shouting ‘HOLY CRAP!!!! WHAT A RIIIDEE….!!’ To lace, red lips and oversized headphones and this amazing ride! #LifeAccessories #SetLife #HOLYCRAPWHATARIDE!!!"
The accident occurred along the Eastern bypass, where Gichuru was driving at 160 KPH while listening to music. As she attempted to overtake another vehicle, she collided with an oncoming truck.
Upon arrival, police found Gichuru’s body and her extensively damaged BMW convertible car. One officer described the scene as particularly disturbing, even for someone experienced in handling such cases, and was overcome with emotion while retrieving the body.
