A story involving actress and social media personality Shee Waruinge has been trending, according to Nairobi Wire. Shee Waruinge, known as the 2010 Safaricom Faceoff's 'Queen of Facebook', shared her experience of being defrauded by a man she met on Twitter.
Waruinge stated that the man, who claimed to need money for school fees, received Sh15,000 from her. They initially met on Twitter and later in person at KFC on Kimathi Street, where he requested financial assistance for his alleged school fees balance of Sh48,700.
After providing him with Sh15,000, Waruinge attempted to raise the remaining amount. She eventually discovered a conversation on his phone that suggested he had a girlfriend and was using the money to help her move out.
Waruinge expressed her anger and confusion upon discovering the truth, stating that she ended up in Kiamumbi after boarding the wrong matatu. The man allegedly begged her not to expose him on Twitter, but she shared the details of their encounter online.
