Richard Alden, the CEO of Wananchi Group, the parent company of Zuku, has been involved in an incident where a woman named Wangeci was shot dead.

According to sources, Alden is being held at the Karen Police Station.

The circumstances surrounding Wangeci's death are still unclear. However, there is speculation that the incident may be related to a personal matter.

Kenya has seen a rise in crimes of passion, with cases of spousal infidelity reportedly increasing.

There have been calls for the Communication Authority of Kenya (CAK) to address concerns over toxic content being aired on prime-time radio shows, hosted by personalities such as Maina Kageni and Churchill.

Wangeci's death is the latest in a series of incidents of domestic violence in Kenya.

Other recent incidents include the case of Njenga Karume's grandson, who allegedly murdered his wife, and a love triangle in Garden Estate that turned violent.

Former Royal Media Services news anchor Louis Otieno is also facing scrutiny over the death of his girlfriend, Careen, whom he allegedly strangled.
