At the recent Wasafi festival in Muleba, Tanzanian musician Diamond Platinumz opened up about his decision not to propose to his heavily pregnant girlfriend, Tanasha Donna, on her birthday.
According to Diamond, he wanted to keep the day special for the two most important women in his life - his mother and Tanasha - and avoid 'crowding' the occasion with too many events.
'I wanted to keep it simple and special for my mother and Tanasha,' Diamond explained. 'I didn't want to make it a day about an engagement, but rather a day for them to celebrate their birthdays.'
He also revealed that they are planning a baby shower soon, with Tanasha due to give birth in just two months.
'We're expecting a baby shower pretty soon, and I'm excited to celebrate this special time with Tanasha,' Diamond said.
Despite not proposing on her birthday, Diamond reassured fans that there are no plans to delay their engagement, citing the need for 'critical forward planning' amidst a busy schedule.
'I want to be unpredictable, even when it comes to my engagement,' Diamond said. 'I didn't want to make it a predictable day, but rather a special day for my mother and Tanasha.'
