On July 23, 2019, President Uhuru Kenyatta visited a school in Kaloleni, Kilifi County, as part of a project. However, the landing of his helicopters caused strong winds that destroyed the house of James Keah, a local resident.

The incident damaged the roof of Keah's house and the nearby school's dining hall, where the president was visiting. Kizurini secondary school had already received compensation for damages to their dining hall, using the 2 million shillings to build a new modern kitchen facility.

It has taken two years for James Keah to receive his compensation from the president, a total of 250,000 Kenyan shillings, to help him renovate his house.
