Blogger Robert Alai Oyango has posted claims about the treatment of comedians on the Churchill Show, a popular NTV program.
According to Alai, the show, which airs on Thursday and Sunday evenings, is no longer as interesting as it used to be, with only two comedians remaining who are funny, although they struggle to keep up.
Alai did not specify which two comedians he was referring to, but it has been suggested that they might be MCA Tricky and Comedian YY.
Alai's followers have expressed agreement with his views, stating that the show now consists of 70% commercials and 30% content.
There are also rumors that some Churchill Show comedians are paid as little as Ksh.2,000 per show, while the host, Daniel 'Churchill' Ndambuki, earns over Sh.1.5 million per recording.
