Published on July 23, 2019, a story aired on Citizen TV highlighted the plight of 24-year-old Kevin Ochieng' Obede, a graduate with First Class honors from the University of Nairobi.

Obede, who scored straight A's at Maranda High School, graduated with a degree in Actuarial Science in 2017 but struggled to find employment.

His story, which included living on the streets of Nairobi for over a year, moved State corporations, County Governments, and top private companies to offer him job opportunities.

Companies that have expressed interest in Obede's services include Deloitte, Naivas Supermarkets, Vivo Energy, UAP Old Mutual, TripleOKLaw Advocates, Jamii Bora Bank, Resolution Health East Africa Ltd, and the Kenya Ports Authority.

He has also received offers from the Kenya Private Sector Alliance (KEPSA), Centum, the Kenya Red Cross, Actuary Patrick Waweru, the Kenya Forest Services, and various county governments.

Kevin Obede intends to visit every company that has offered him an opportunity to express his gratitude.
