An investigation by another newsroom found that Bondo Diocese Anglican Bishop, Johannes Angela, was kidnapped by unknown individuals and later abandoned in a bush. This incident occurred about a week after he hosted Deputy President William Ruto for a fundraising event. According to the report, Bishop Angela was carjacked approximately two kilometers from his home on Friday, July 3, 2015, at around 10pm.
The bishop stated that the assailants took away his phone and ATM card.
