Allegations have been made against Imenti Central MP Gideon Mwiti by a former female journalist, who claims she was assaulted in his office.
A report was filed at Parklands Police Station in Nairobi, where police are investigating the allegations.
The woman, who is married and runs a private public relations company, alleges that she was invited to the MP's office in Westlands, Nairobi, under the pretense of discussing a business deal.
According to her account, the meeting took a turn when the MP allegedly forced her to undergo an HIV/AIDS test, then assaulted her. The woman further claims that when she informed her husband about the incident, the MP threatened him.
