Arnold Lakita, a comic book writer, has addressed rumors surrounding his disappearance, stating that claims of him hiding out with a girlfriend are entirely fabricated.

Lakita explained that he was abducted and held hostage for 18 days by persons unknown, before being dropped off on Mombasa Road near Embakasi. He then made his way to Community, where he was spotted by a good Samaritan and subsequently reunited with his family and the police.

Lakita expressed his anger and distress over the false rumors, which have caused significant upset for him and his wife, Salma. He emphasized his desire to put the ordeal behind him and focus on his work and family.

Since his release on December 4, Lakita has been trying to heal and move forward, but the speculation and media attention have made this process difficult. He appealed to the public to respect his privacy and allow him and his family to heal in peace.
