A shootout between police and a group of suspected robbers in Industrial Area resulted in the deaths of a 52-year-old woman and one of the suspects on Thursday.
Phoebe Nzimbi, the woman who lost her life, and Peter Chachuru, one of the suspects, were killed near Likoni Road close to BAT.
According to police records, officers on patrol received information about four armed suspects traveling on two motorcycles.
The police report states that when officers approached the group and instructed them to surrender, the suspects instead sped away while shooting at the officers.
