A video shared online shows a motorist and a pedestrian being swept away by floodwater in Kitui while trying to cross a flooded bridge.
The motorist, driving a Probox Toyota, attempted to cross the bridge despite warnings from passersby. The pedestrian also tried to cross after witnessing the car get swept away, and both were carried away by the water.
The incident highlights the dangers of attempting to navigate flooded areas.
