President Uhuru Kenyatta is set to open the fourth annual devolution conference on Tuesday, March 7, in Naivasha, Nakuru county. The conference will be held at the Kenya Wildlife Service Training Institute and is expected to run for three days.

Among the dignitaries expected to attend the event is NASA co-principal Raila Odinga, who will address leaders during the conference. Other leaders expected to participate include governors, senators, MCAs, and MPs.

Deputy President William Ruto is scheduled to officially close the event on Thursday, March 9.

The conference follows a recent appearance by President Kenyatta and Raila Odinga at the late governor Nderitu Gachagua’s funeral on Monday, March 6, where they both condemned the tendency by MCAs to engage in dealings that undermine governors' development plans.
