A 27-year-old woman was stabbed to death by her boyfriend in Mathare slums, according to eyewitness accounts.
The incident occurred after the couple reportedly returned from a drinking spree, with the man physically assaulting the woman before stabbing her multiple times.
Maria Mugure, an eyewitness, stated that the deceased was found in a pool of blood in her apartment by her sister. This discovery came after the boyfriend allegedly called the sister and confessed to the crime, instructing her to retrieve the body.
According to Mugure,
"He first of all called his sister and told her that he had murdered the sister to her friend, asking her to go and pick the body."
Mugure further described the scene, saying
"There was blood everywhere in her apartment. The guy had stabbed almost every part of her body. He later on tried to wipe the blood off her body then lit the stove to make it look like it was murder."
The police are currently searching for the suspect, who has gone into hiding.
