A city lawyer, Daniel Ndung’u, who had been struck from the roll of advocates, was released on a cash bail of Sh50,000 after being charged with practicing law despite being unqualified.
According to the charges, Ndung’u allegedly accepted money from members of the public to represent them in court cases, knowing he was not authorized to do so. He denied two counts of acting as an advocate while unqualified before Principal Magistrate Joseph Karanja.
