A leading corporate IT company with operations in multiple countries, including Tanzania, Ethiopia, Ghana, India, Kenya, Malawi, Mozambique, Nigeria, Rwanda, South Africa, South Sudan, Swaziland, UAE, Uganda, UK, USA, Zambia, and Zimbabwe, is recruiting a General Manager for Kenya, Uganda, and Namibia.

The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and executing key growth sales strategies, tactics, and action plans to achieve financial targets in the country.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership in strategizing, planning, and expanding operations in the country.
  • Analyze country-specific landscapes and trends, reporting on forces that shift strategic business direction.
  • Develop an overall business development strategy.
  • Coordinate with regulatory bodies on local policies, guidelines, statutory, and regulatory requirements.
  • Identify and prioritize profitable business opportunities, develop leads, and follow up on clients with corporate support.
  • Align company products and solutions with assigned territory and accounts by working closely with Solution Practices.
  • Oversee sales, delivery, and support functions, ensuring operational efficiencies by building relationships with partners and managing clients.
  • Achieve targets for revenue, profitability, and sales growth.
  • Build workforce capacity in business development, sales, marketing, account management, and project management.
  • Represent the company at meetings to promote services and effectively communicate the value proposition through proposals and presentations.

Requirements

  • At least 15 years of successful sales experience in IT, consistently meeting or exceeding targets.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in managing regional or country operations, sales, and sales force of 10+ people.
  • Deep understanding of IT solution sales, working with teams from product development, implementation services, and finance.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate, present, and influence credibly and effectively at all organizational levels.
  • Proven ability to drive the sales process from plan to close and articulate the distinct aspects of products and services against competitors.
  • Demonstrable experience in developing client-focused, differentiated, and achievable solutions.
  • Excellent listening, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • MBA/BS degree or equivalent.
