A report by Citizen TV's Nipashe featured allegations that Dr. Mugo Wa Wairimu committed a serious offense against a pregnant woman at his clinic in Githurai.
Citizen TV had received complaints from patients who regularly visit the clinic and decided to install a hidden camera to gather evidence.
A patient visited the clinic complaining of abdominal discomfort. Dr. Mugo Wa Wairimu invited her to his private room, where she explained her symptoms. He then instructed her to lie on the bed and administered a drug that caused her to lose consciousness.
The footage allegedly shows Dr. Mugo Wa Wairimu engaging in inappropriate behavior with the patient. After the incident, he reportedly cleaned the area with a drug and a towel and wrote a report stating that the woman did not have any ailments.
When a Citizen TV crew visited the clinic to question Dr. Mugo Wa Wairimu about the allegations, he refused to speak with them, instructing his assistant to ask the crew to leave.
According to the report, Dr. Mugo Wa Wairimu is not a qualified doctor, having dropped out of nursing school, but operates a clinic called Prestige Healthcare Clinic in Githurai.
