Former Student Organisation of Nairobi University (SONU) Chairman, David Osiany, proposed to his longtime girlfriend, Syombua Mwele, a Radio Citizen presenter, four months prior in an exceptional marriage proposal.
With the help of the top brass at Radio Citizen, David conspired to surprise Syombua during her daily show, Chapa Kazi, alongside Jerida Andayi. When Jerida tried to reach the day’s winner of Patapata promotion, David, who introduced himself as David Machel Osiany, asked to speak to Syombua and proposed to her over the phone. She accepted his proposal.
As Syombua processed the surprise, David walked into the studio, got down on one knee, and presented her with a ring, making for a memorable proposal.
Following the proposal, it was anticipated that the wedding would soon take place. The couple is set to exchange vows on Sunday, September 13, 2015, at Nairobi Central SDA Church, followed by a reception at Wanderjoy Gardens (Ridgeways).
An invitation card for the wedding has been shared, and a video showcasing the couple’s love journey is also available.
