Chirau Ali Makwere Leaves Diplomatic Post, Joins ODM

Chirau Ali Makwere, Kenya’s ambassador to Tanzania and a prominent Coast politician, has resigned from his diplomatic position to pursue a career in politics again. Makwere, also known as Zipapa, has switched his allegiance from President Uhuru Kenyatta to Opposition leader Raila Odinga. He is reportedly seeking the Kwale gubernatorial seat.
