Kenyan artists have long complained about the lack of airplay for their music on local radio stations. However, the issue of content has always been a contentious topic. Many artists have been accused of producing low-quality music, with some even having little to no talent.

Recently, Kaligraph Jones released a new song that has sparked outrage due to its distasteful and vulgar lyrics. The song, which features Betty Kyallo, has been viewed by many as a reflection of the poor quality of music being produced by some Kenyan artists.

One of the lyrics in the song reads: "Nakuja kukupiga stick". This kind of language is not only distasteful but also sickening. It's no wonder that many people are questioning the kind of music that is being produced by some Kenyan artists.

Despite the backlash, Kaligraph Jones claims that Kenyans love his new song and that views have skyrocketed since he promoted the video on Instagram. However, this is not enough to justify the kind of language used in the song.

As Kaligraph Jones himself said, "Acheni kujifanya, munaipenda." However, it seems that he needs to implement his own advice in his music. The older generation, who love hip-hop, will not appreciate music with such distasteful lyrics.

It's time for Kenyan artists to produce music that is not only good but also respectful. The music industry needs to be taken seriously, and artists need to be held accountable for the kind of music they produce.
