Citizen TV sports journalist Waihiga Mwaura has married his long-term girlfriend Joyce Omondi, a former co-host of the Rauka Gospel Music programme on Citizen Television.
The wedding took place on December 18 at Sawela Lodge in Naivasha, with a small group of invited guests and several Citizen TV anchors in attendance, including Willis Raburu, Bernard Ndong, Patrick Igunza, and Njugush.
The couple's decision to get married was announced in November, catching many by surprise. They met while working at Citizen TV, where their relationship began.
Joyce Omondi is also a musician, known for her songs Uinuliwe, Keli, and Nifiche. Before pursuing further studies at Georgetown University in Washington, she co-hosted the Rauka Gospel Music programme alongside Njugush.
