A Facebook group called Deadbeat Kenya has been exposing individuals, including public figures, as alleged deadbeat parents. Former President Mwai Kibaki was among those exposed by Othaya Member of Parliament Mary Wambui.
In August, Mary Wambui claimed she is still married to Kibaki. She later posted on the Facebook group using parody accounts for the former president, his wife Lucy Kibaki, and herself.
The post created a humorous scenario involving the three public figures. The situation drew a response from Lucy Kibaki.
