A 100-year-old grandmother, Margaret Ngima Gakoromo, returned home after being released from the Embu GK Prison, where she had been held for nine days for contempt of court.
Nairobi Senator Mike Sonko paid her Sh100,000 cash bail, securing her release. The Sonko Rescue Team welcomed her outside the prison, celebrating with song and dance at 6:43 p.m. on Thursday.
