Diamond Platnumz performed in concerts in Kisumu on February 13 and Lodwar on February 14.
Meanwhile, his father, Abdul Juma, visited Diamond's music studio in Dar es Salaam on February 10, hoping to meet his son and resolve their differences.
Abdul Juma arrived at the studio early in the morning, despite struggling with ailing feet, and repeatedly knocked on the gates, hoping Diamond would appear. However, Diamond was out of the country at the time.
According to Abdul Juma, 'A lot took place in the past. I think it is now time for Diamond and I to settle our differences. I was recently told about his studio that is located in this area (Sinza Mapambano, Dar es Salaam). I saw it wise to stay here (studio) the whole day believing he would at least show up. Although my legs are hurting, I do not see the need to leave the place. I am ready to die here so long as I see my son,' as told to Risasi.
Abdul Juma expressed regret over past actions, stating, 'I have realised Diamond is not on the wrong – I am the one who slipped. I already made peace with his mum. I thereafter saw it wise to look for Diamond and ask for his forgiveness.'
Unfortunately, Abdul Juma's efforts were unsuccessful, as the studio gates remained closed, and he eventually left.
