Published on July 22, 2019, AFC Leopards have made significant moves to bolster their squad ahead of the 2019/20 Kenyan Premier League campaign by signing seven new players.
Following a disappointing 2018/19 season, the team has moved to strengthen their playing unit in a bid to perform better next season.
The new signings include Rwandese duo Soter Kayumba, who has made his move from Sofapaka permanent, and former Kiyovu midfielder Vincent Habamahoro.
Additionally, Malian striker Ismaila, who was initially set to join the club in 2016, has completed his switch to Ingwe.
Ugandan keeper Benjamin Ochan and Burundian midfielder Tresor Ndikumana have also joined the Andre Casa Mbungo-coached team.
Two local players, Hansel Ochieng, a striker from Nzoia Sugar, and Sony Sugar defender Robert Ayala, have also been signed by the team.
According to Leopards chairman Dan Shikanda, "Today we are unveiling seven new players who are joining the den. We believe that their presence in the team will give us a cutting edge as we embark on the new season."
Meanwhile, the KPL giants have lost winger Jeffari Owiti and defender Yusuf Mainge.
