Kitui Governor Charity Ngilu stated, "I believe there is a name behind the name, we shall soon reveal the names behind the name. By the way, if the President continues to push me, I will name and resign," while overseeing the demolition of a perimeter wall at Lang'ata Road Primary School.
Ngilu made these comments after addressing journalists, amidst increased pressure, including from Interior Cabinet Secretary Joseph Nkaissery. Nkaissery had given Ngilu and National Land Commission chairman Muhammad Swazuri a deadline to identify the individuals behind the alleged land grabbing.
