Nairobi Senator Mike Sonko announced the passing of his father on Sunday evening at Nairobi Hospital, where he had been admitted to the Intensive Care Unit.
According to Sonko's Facebook post, "Dear Kenyans and watu wangu nyote in general I thank each and everyone of you for your prayers during my Dad’s sickness. We all loved him but GOD loved him more than us. Mzee has just left us. Continue praying for our family and all those in similar situations."
Sonko’s father had been hospitalized since August due to an undisclosed illness. His condition worsened, leading to his admission to the ICU, where he passed away on Sunday evening.
The family of Mike Sonko is being kept in prayers as they mourn their loss, with wishes for God to rest the soul in eternal peace.
