According to Aden Duale, House Majority Leader, the corruption allegations against Ababu Namwamba may harm the legacy of former Prime Minister Raila Odinga in his fight against corruption.
Duale questioned whether the Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) has investigated the source of funds Ababu Namwamba used during his campaign for the party's secretary-general position.
Duale stated,
Ababu wants to kill the legacy of Raila Odinga, I wonder why ODM has not sought to find out where Namwamba got money he used in ODM elections. Who funded him?
Notably, during the ODM secretary-general election campaign, Duale had previously expressed support for Ababu Namwamba, referring to him as 'their man' during an appearance on Jeff Koinange Live.
Now, Duale criticizes Ababu, accusing him of corruption, prompting questions about what led to this change in stance.
