Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) Senator Boy Juma Boy was buried on Monday, February 13, at his home in Vanga, Kwale county.
The burial, which took place at 4 pm, was attended by several Coalition for Reforms and Democracy (CORD) leaders, including Mombasa Governor Hassan Joho and his Kilifi counterpart Amason Kingi.
Senator Boy Juma Boy died on Sunday, February 12, at Aga Khan Hospital in Nairobi while undergoing treatment.
Attendance and Tributes ¶
The funeral was also attended by ODM leader Raila Odinga, Wiper Kenya leader Kalonzo Musyoka, and other prominent politicians.
Raila Odinga mourned the senator, describing him as a great orator and a bold ODM soldier.
Other leaders, including President Uhuru Kenyatta, sent messages of condolence following the senator's death.
Career and Legacy ¶
Boy Juma Boy became the youngest MP in 1984, succeeding his father, the late Boy Juma.
He was re-elected in 1988 and served as a KANU chief whip at one point.
