A bodaboda operator was killed and his motorbike stolen in Bungoma, according to police reports.
The incident occurred on Monday morning in the Marel area on the outskirts of Bungoma town, where the operator was attacked by an unknown gang.
Circumstances of the Incident ¶
Felix Wanyonyi, a friend of the deceased, stated that the demanding nature of their job, which requires them to wake up early to meet their bosses' financial expectations, has contributed to the deaths of many operators.
Bungoma OCPD Kirinya Limbitu said the operator suffered fatal injuries, including cuts to the face, neck, and back, likely resulting from excessive bleeding. The assailants took everything, including the victim's phone, cash, and motorcycle.
The body was taken to the Bungoma District Hospital mortuary.
