A one-year-old Indian boy named Akash has been diagnosed with a rare hormonal condition known as precocious puberty. According to the Hindustan Times, Akash has developed sexual desires and physical characteristics typically associated with adults, including pubic hair and a high level of testosterone, similar to that of a 25-year-old man.
Akash's parents first noticed something was amiss when he was six months old, due to the size of his genital area being larger than usual for his age. As he grew older, the signs became more pronounced. By the time he turned one year old, it was clear that there was an issue that needed medical attention.
As quoted by the Hindustan Times, Akash's mother stated, "We thought maybe he was a great kid, so we took him to the doctor. But when he turned one year, it was clear that something was not right."
