A group of travellers bound for village festivities in western Kenya spent Christmas at Ntulele Police Station after National Highways and Transport Authority officials impounded the bus they were travelling in.

The passengers were left stranded, forcing them to abandon their holiday plans as they awaited assistance from the police and transport officials at the station.

Many passengers appeared dejected, reading old newspapers while children clung to their mothers, seemingly unaware of the difficulties faced by the adults.
