Businessman Chris Kirubi, owner of Capital FM, has weighed in on the security debate, calling on the president to take action against the opposition.
Kirubi's comments appear to align with theories suggesting that CORD is planning an uprising.
In a statement, Kirubi says:
Dear Mr. President, the security situation is so grave and all those inciting and causing confusion are not helping the situation. We cannot allow things to happen like we are in the Middle East. Kenya is the cream of East Africa and it is time you declared a state of emergency to sober everybody in this nation. The strong arm of the law in this country must be felt. Please do not waste any time...Save our country!
