On the golf course, several notable players made headlines in recent tournaments.

At the Rware Golf tournament held at the par 72 Ruiru Sports Club, Michael Nyangi took the overall title with a strong back nine score, earning him 41 points. Nyangi, playing off handicap 23, started the day with 17 points in the first nine but made a comeback with four pars at the back nine, securing his win on countback over Patrick Theche.

Meanwhile, in the ladies event, Judy Nyambura won with 39 points, beating Eunice Ndikwe by two points. Catherine Wambui took third place with 35 points.

At the Middletown Forex Bureau Golf tournament held at Muthaiga, Julius Mutethia claimed the overall title with 41 points, playing off handicap eight. Mutethia recovered from a bogey at the first hole to post an impressive score, beating Wachira Mahihu by two points.

Grace Gakiria took the ladies title with 36 points, while Njoroge Kibugu clinched the junior title with 39 points. The nines went to Ndungu Gathinji and Vipin Rajani, and Aman Sodi and Nancy Ndungu won the longest drive contest.

Other notable winners included Amardeep Jajuja, who won the Vivo Energy golf tournament with 40 points, and D. Macharia, who led the guests with 41 points. Harsh Shah took the junior title in the Vivo Energy tournament with 26 points.

Arthur Muchiri won the July Monthly Mug at Nyeri with 67 nett, while Susan Ngure took the ladies title with 71 nett. At the Ricowell Golf Day in Kakamega, L. Oketch emerged as the overall winner with 72 nett.
